O que significa “to get ahead of ourselves”?

“To get ahead of ourselves” significa fazer alguma coisa com antecipação em um sentido de não estar pronto ou preparado para a ação, ou seja, fazer algo mais cedo do que se deveria. Para o bom e velho português, seria “colocar a carroça na frente dos bois” hahaha
